The opera «Attila» presented in Tokyo under the direction of legendary maestro Riccardo Muti, featuring Ildar Abdrazakov in the title role, received first prize in the concert performance category according to the authoritative Japanese music publication «Ongaku-No-Tomo».
The production, which was part of the Riccardo Muti Italian Opera Academy in Tokyo Vol.4, was presented to the public twice: on September 14 at the Tokyo College of Music 100th Anniversary Hall (Ikebukuro Campus) and on September 16 at Bunkamura Orchard Hall.
«I’m deeply admire by this news and consider it a great honor for all the artists who participated in Attila», noted Ildar Abdrazakov. «Winning the first prize is the result of a tremendous collaboration. I’d especially like to thank Maestro Muti for organizing the concert and inviting me to participate».
The award from «Ongaku-No-Tomo» magazine is a significant indicator of recognition in the Japanese music community and confirms the success of international cultural cooperation within the framework of the Italian Opera Academy under the direction of Maestro Muti.
