‘Don Carlo’ premiere at Opéra national de Paris takes place on October 10, 2017

The most-anticipated fall premiere – ‘Don Carlo’ in its French version directed by Krzysztof Warlikowski at Opéra national de Paris – will take place on October 10.

Today, on October 7, is the dress-rehearsal at Opéra Bastille. The Paris Opera Orchestra and Chorus will perform under the baton of Philippe Jordan. Ildar Abdrazakov will perform one of his signature roles – Philippe II, the King of Spain.

Jonas Kaufmann will sing the role of Don Carlos, Sonya Yoncheva – Élisabeth de Valois, Elīna Garanča – Princess Eboli, Ludovic Tézier – Rodrigo. There will be 11 performances in the premiere run – from October 10 till November 11.
