Prior to the premiere of the Metropolitan Opera’s new staging of Le Nozze di Figaro in two weeks, Ildar joins members of the production’s cast plus Tony Award–winning director Richard Eyre, Tony-winning set designer Rob Howell, and Met Opera General Manager Peter Gelb on Tuesday, September 9 at 7:30pm for a preview as part of the Guggenheim Museum’s “Work and Process” series. He sings “Signori, di fuori” from Act II of the opera alongside Amanda Majeski (Countess Almaviva), Marlis Petersen (Susanna), and Peter Mattei (Count Almaviva) as part of a series of musical excerpts illustrating the season-opening production of Mozart’s timeless comedy, which will be performed under the baton of Maestro James Levine.
Tune in here at 7:30pm EST to watch the event livestreamed online.
Le Nozze di Figaro opens on September 25, followed by repeat performances on September 27 and October 2, 7, 10, 14, 18, 22, and 25. The performance on October 18 will be transmitted to movie theaters worldwide as part of the Met’s Live in HD series.
