Ildar brings his “winning stage performance” (San Francisco Classical Voice) of Méphistophélès to the Opéra National de Paris in a new production of Charles Gounod’s Faust by Jean-Romain Vesperini. Piotr Beczala and Michael Fabiano share the title role in this operatic retelling of the classic German legend, and Krassimira Stoyanova embodies Marguerite, Faust’s doomed lover. The cast also includes Jean-François Lapointe as Valentin, Damien Pass as Wagner, Anaïk Morel as Siebel, and Doris Lamprecht as Dame Marthe, under the baton of Michel Plasson.
