Ildar to Sing in Teatro Regio Di Torino’s Don Carlo in April, with Concert Performance in Paris

This April Ildar Abdrazakov sings King Philip II of Spain in Hugo de Ana’s staging of Verdi’s Don Carlo at Teatro Regio di Torino, opening April 11. The production marks only his second time he has taken on the role. He joins a star-studded cast lead by tenor Ramón Vargas as Don Carlo, soprano Barbara Frittoli as Elisabetta de Valois, and baritone Ludovic Tézier as Rodrigo, Marquis of Posa, under the baton of Maestro Gianandrea Noseda. Following its run in Torino, the Don Carlo cast and orchestra travel to Paris to give a single-evening concert performance of the epic Verdi work at Théâtre des Champs-Elysées on April 28. For information, click here.
