As part of the XVI International Winter Festival “ARTS SQUARE,” Ildar Abdrazakov joins pianist Mzia Bachturidze for a recital at the St. Petersburg Philharmonia on December 20.
Ildar begins with the music of his compatriots, Glinka, Tchaikovsky, and Mussorgsky, represented in songs including “I Recall a Wonderful Moment,” “None but the Lonely Heart,” and Songs and Dances of Death. The second half of the program hears Liszt’s Sonetti dei Petrarca, Ravel’s Don Quichotte à Dulcinée, and three songs by Fauré.
